Each of these cases is an actual documented account of paranormal phenomena, ESP, Telepathy and other anomalies, based on parapsychological research. It is tied in with other areas, including the people involved in or conducting the research (some of which are external links).

Many of these cases were made "famous" because they are either well-documented or were popularized through the media.

ESP Case Logs: These are accounts of amazing or impactual incidences of ESP experiences.
Hypnosis Case Logs: These are incidences and applications of using hypnosis to manipulate people and their psychic abilities.
SHC Case Logs: These are incidences of the "mysterious burning" known as Spontaneous Human Combustion or SHC.
Telepathy Case Logs: These are some of the noteable incidences where people have displayed telepathic ability.

In parapsychology, case logs can be just as important as research logs, as they help with identifying "normal" causes from "paranormal" causes. Parapsychology is not an exact science, but one mostly based on statistics gained from a series of specifically designed tests. The test results are compared with a chart of averages to determine the likelihood of psychic ability or activities resulting from something beyond the parameters of scientific explanation.

The media has popularized (and in some cases demonized) paranormal events, i.e. events that have occurred that cannot be immediately explained. When such an event is documented, investigators can usually step in to separate the facts as seen by eyewitnesses to the fiction often recorded by the media.
